Aantex has long maintained a commitment to our military community and giving back.  From our hiring practices to our on-going dedication to finding new and impactful strategies for supporting the communities we work with daily, giving back is at the core of Aantex.  Operation Creekside is a local organization we had the opportunity to work with this year during a season of giving. We are excited to share Operation Creekside.

 

What is Operation Creekside?

This holiday season, Operation Creekside is celebrating five years of sharing care packages with deployed men and women in the U.S. military.  The non-profit began as one Brentwood community member had the vision to send care packages to deployed servicemen and women. The care package contents have changed over the years. However, the core goods that Operation Creekside collect and gift are items deployed military can appreciate. Goodies include nuts, granola bars, powdered drink mixes, gum, jerky, and other snacks. 

Event organizers know that many of our deployed servicemen and women are overlooked during the holiday season.  In fact, without the support of community members, many do not receive anything during the holidays. This organization was designed to help each military personnel to know they are not forgotten and supported.   From November through Mid-December, items for care packages are collected. Community members come together in December to package the boxes – while organizers ship off the packages, so they arrive by Christmas. 

A Commitment from Aantex

Aantex has long been committed to hiring locally.  Within our local hiring goals, we’ve also focused on hiring military veterans and work with them to transition back into non-military careers. The budding relationship with Operation Creekside only deepens our commitment to the U.S. military and their families.  In 2019, we are proud to support the efforts of Operation Creekside through donations and volunteer hours provided by several Aantex team members. 

Beginning in 2020, Aantex will continue its support of Operation Creekside, and our deployed military personnel. This year, the non-profit required a final-hour push to collect the necessary funds and goods they needed to prepare their goal number of care packages. To support the initiative, Aantex will focus on creating more awareness for the non-profit organization, while also increasing their engagement.  Their goal is to ensure this local non-profit has the resources to support their active military giving goals.
